Monel Alloy 400 / Alloy UNS N04400 / Monel Alloy WNR 2.4361
Monel 400, a nickel-copper alloy blend which is resistant to condensation at high temperatures and marine water, also resistant to saline and acidic solutions. Alloy 400 can be hardened by cold working only as it’s a solid solution. Highly resistant to briny flowing water, stress corrosion cracking in freshwater and distinctly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids while they are de-aerated. Excellent resistance to alkaline and neutral salts.
Monel 400 possess efficient mechanical properties, available in various forms such as bars, plates, sheets, pipes & tubes, fittings, strips, wire, forging stock, hexagon etc. UNS NO8400, 8S 3072-3076 (NA 15), ASTM B-163, B-407-B409, ASME SB-163, SB 407-SB-409.SB-564, Boiler Code Section I, III, VII, IX is highly corrosion alloy material in Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Defense, Electrical and electronic parts, Heat Exchangers, Aerospace, Chemical shipping drums and other industries.
