Stainless Steel 310H Tubes are usually regarded as the standard “marine grade stainless steel”, but is not resistant to warm sea water. SS 310H Pipes has good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870 Degree C and in continuous service to 925 Degree C. Continuous use of SS 310H Tubes in the 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C range is not recommended if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is important. In many marine environments Alloy 310H Pipes does exhibit surface corrosion, where it is usually visible as brown staining.
