These attributes mean that this super duplex steel can be used successfully as an alternative to 300 series stainless steel (such as type 316), standard 22 % Cr and precipitation hardening stainless steels. Alloy 32760 Sheets exhibits a low coefficient of thermal expansion and higher heat conductivity than austenitic steels and is suitable for working temperatures up to 300 Degree C.

The high-temperature strength of this alloy is basically the same as Type 430 in the range of 950 Degree C – 1150 Degree C. Alloy 32760 Plates should be noted that the strength increases abruptly below 900 Degree C. Solution annealing should be done after hot working.

Regarding cold workability, care is required in UNS S32760 Super Duplex Sheets as proof stress is high and elongation is low in comparison with Type 304.
